It all depends on your skil level. I build custom headers all the time so was cake for me. All in the tuning im running nistune and spent the money to do it right. You can use stock z31 manifolds and just build custom crossover pipe and front motor mount. Thats the easiest way. I have a set of z31 manifolds customized to fit right on a vg max. I made about 240hp on my 89 with them running 9psi out of a t04e. This setup is currently for sale.

i wouldnt be able to do it myself so once i get a full Z31 turbo setup, intercooler, and 5spd setup from a Nissan only junkyard this summer, i'm getting a shop i know to do everything in one whack the summer after. might keep it auto and turbo it, but it depends how everything goes. i only want around 250hp as well, wouldnt mind 300hp though

Sell you a set of manifolds go straight on. I fit a t04E on without any problems. No modification to motor mount. Would have to make a new crossoverpipe. One I got on there isn't the best.

That looks like a clean setup! How easy is the Nistune to work with?

dont' worry about cryo'ing the differntial. worry about strengthening the gears. Bret had problems around 350hp I believe with the gears breaking even on a smooth run.. might want to get them cryo'd and shotpeened.

and fyi, it's a Holset turbo, not Holeset.

Little Update. Just sold a turbo kit for a GSXR 750 so clutch will be on the way. Going with a southbend also will be cyrotreated. Next step getting trans sent off to get treated.
