New Shoes for the Babe

Hey guys, as some of you already know that i was running 300zx z32 non-turbo 225/55/16.7.5 rims with 45+ offset. The problem with those were that i had to put 1" spacers on the rear to clear and i couldn't lower my car without rolling the fenders.

Now, that i have bought 17" Boss rims. I am running 235/45/17x7.5 with 35+ offset with no spacers AT all. Now i can lower my car without rolling the fenders plus they are the PERFECT FIT.

Just wanted to share what i m up to with my 3rd gen and it might help others with chossing the right wheels. Enjoy the pix

MAX WITH OLD Z RIMS

not bad... how hard are those lugnut holes to fit a normal socket into? they look pretty tight. now hurry up and drop that bish! and if you have time i was wondering if you had any sort of closeup shots of the tire in terms of the sidewalls... kinda like this (link) i am thinking about using 235/45/17 on my z also.. with an 8" wheel. but i could try and use 245mm or even 255mm depending what your picture reveals.

o and do me a favor and the idiot that thought it was a good idea to put a black cover over their headlights..... kinda defeats the purpose of being a light, eh?

now that you mention it... i think i might have smoked a little bit of your fist-sized crack rock.

i perceived the stuff inside the missing headlight area to be a reflection off the shell of a black wade cover....... my bad

dude, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gens are the only Maximas i like. i know i'm gonna get killed for this but 4th gen+ are ugly to me. 3rd gens kept the old school import look, and it all went downhill after. 3rd gens get major love here, people come by when i'm parked all the time and give compliments. all of the aftermarket tuning places love me for having the only 3rd gen theyve worked on

i bought aftermarket lugnuts but then wen i was installing them, stock ones went in them perfectly. And for the socket i had to use chrome thin ones to go in there but it was pretty easy, no struggling to get out the socket. I will take close up shots tomorrow in the morning.
There are no lights on the intrepid cuz i ordered the new ones which are halo angel eyes, they look pretty kool tho. i bought the car from the guy with busted hood and one busted left headlight, thats all, for 1 grand. its a 2000 ES 3.2L fully loaded. i already fixed it with only like around 500 bucks. i have a running car.

nice, they look almost similar...and o ya, they look very good, specially 3rd gen's body style really supports the look of these wheels...

Hell ya, it can (only VE) keep up with the intrepid stock for stock. Only like 30hp difference but then intrepid is heavier than 3rd gen. Power/weight ratio equals it out. However, i was only talking about auto vs auto and intrepid is Autostick (thats how guys like to pronounce it at dodgeintrepid.net) u can change gears manually or leave it on TCM. Now, if it comes to manual VE vs Manual intrepid (autostick), i would say VE would have better launch but intrepid will catch up quickly and bust it. Again thats for 3.2L intrepid. Now, there is no chance 3rg Moded can even hang with stock intrepid R/T. I didnt race 3rd gen with my intrepid ES but intrepid feels a lil havier but i m sure after some Mods and some useless weight reduction it can be a fast car than 3rd gen.

For the wheels, i like to stay with ole skol style, makes my 3rd gen looks as pure as a rigid import tuner japanese sports car.
