i seen a hunter green 3rd gen GXE today with gold trim. it was aroun the antenna and the tail lights. it looked very nice and i was just wondering why it wasnt on more 3rd gens. this is the first time i have seen it? was it a special package or what? it would look sharp on a black max. im 99% sure it was stock. would these pieces come off easy? i would like to go to a junkyard and find them if its an easy trade. thanks guys!

 

no, gold trim was never stock on a maxima.
it's easy enough to do on chrome though.. any plating place can do it for not much money..

 

Gold trim is almost always (99.9%) a dealer-installed option.

hmmm could have sworn it was stock. i got up real close to the car and examined it. also it wasnt modded in any way which you would expect a few mods if they took all the time and $ to do this. if i see the owner maybe ill ask them, but i could have sworn its stock...????hmmmmmm anyways thanks for the answers guys. p.s. gold trim is ugly on a lot of cars but IMO it looked good with hunter green and would prob. look good on black. anyways thanks all!
