Fuel rail insulators missing?
Fuel rail insulators missing?
I just took the fuel rail off. I didn't see any of those insulators that go around the bottom of the injector holder on the fuel rail. Is it possible that they disintegrated and fell into the cylinder?
um... i don't think so but i don't see how the car would run right without them... massive air leak. do you have pics of the bottom of the fuel rail and the ports on the intake where the injectors go?
oh nevermind, i dum :P
The tops of the seals were white, so I thought they were metal. It helps to actually have sunlight
going to replace the five I picked up, test the rail, reinstall everything and hope I can rig some replacement for the PCV hose.

Just cycled the fuel pump about 3 times. Should it make a hissing sound when it's first pressurizing (note that the vacuum hose for the regulator is still off)? The pintle caps on the injectors feel dry, so I don't think they're actually leaking. Just want to make sure before I bolt everything down.
