My experience is that the Michelin Pilot XGT H4 is a better handling tire, with crisper response and even cost a bit less. The MXV4 is more of a "Grand Touring" tire.

i currently have mxv4's, and i should say straight off that they are very nice highway tires, and they handle aquaplaning very well. as touring tires go they're pretty good. but, i didn't have these tires put on, they were there before i got the car, so they aren't exactly what i want on my max. they have a sidewall thats too flexible for me, they just don't have high maximum grip, and they dont seem to wear as well as advertised (partially because of the way i drive ) im not sure what the pricing is, but if your looking for a good all arounder, they arent too bad. again, they are quiet, good on gas milage, good for rain, and they are predictable at the limit.

Go to www.tirerack.com and they might have a survey of customer ratings on how they perform, as well as comments and ratings ("reviews") by users.

You might also find alternative tires that will perform just as well for less - I find Michelin tires tend to be pretty expensive.

Michelin tires are very often more expensive tires, but each one is X-rayed for defects and it's rare to get one that "doesn't balance", isn't quite round, or quickly goes out of balance (tires do go out of balance with time). They often don't have the best performance (in a given class), or best bang for the buck, but they are of very high quality.
