Craig was in Atlanta at the time. He drove here in his prelude, left it for me to paint and rode with me down to FL.

I haven't talked to him in a while but he is up north somewhere. I used to know but cant recall now.

Wow. I know those pics....

I was rocking one of my kids to sleep the other night and decided to look up something on the org. (Having fan trouble.) Lo and behold I see a post from Michael and then I see pics of my house with Craig and Michael. I can't believe how long ago that was...Time flies by.

Craig is up near Washington DC.

Aaron how are you? Kudos to all you have done with your car. Need an extra tranny? Email me.

Michael how is NC? Still there? I thought about you the other day. I lost one of my engine guards underneath the car and I was remembering the ones I sold you a long time ago when we met at my folks house.

Hi to all.

David

Man, it's a good old reunion in here! I'm doing good Dave. The weather we're having in NC is reminding me of Florida. It's going to crack 90 again today!

You got PM.

We haven't even had it that warm here yet!! Been nice riding weather though. I have been riding motorcycles and working on them alot more than the maxima over the last few years. I have a 1978 Suzuki GS750 and I have learned alot from www.thegsresources.com site.

Nice weather down here this week. I will respond to the PM.

Wow, awsm66 is back! Speaking of the 66, have you touched the Chevelle in the last 5 years?
Looks like pervis took great care of it.

That was a fun couple days we spent down there getting that car back to life. I learned a lot from you guys!

I'm up in the DC area now - moved up for a job with a big defense contractor and am still there. I still have the prelude, a 2003 IS300 that Matt93GXE/93SE helped check out, and recently a 88 BMW 635CSi. Thinking of trading the BMW for an old 944 though...

Besides making the car more comfortable for an old man to drive , you should also consider one thing:

Keep trying to leave the .org and keep getting dragged back in!

Nice to hear from you Michael! How are your girls?
I just sold my 92 SE last week. I was sad to see her go, but on to newer things. I bought a 240sx for a 'fun' car 4 years ago, but that's on the chopping block as well.

Here's my new ride. You can see a little corner of the Maxima and the 240sx across the street.

Hey Randy. Nice Beemer. I am sure your little boy loves riding in it. Hope all is well with you.

Howdy, all you old timers!!

I'm still in Houston area, but we've moved again. 3rd house in 5 years, and I can't claim any of the tax breaks!

I also have a driveway full of stuff...
'06 Honda Element- wife's car
'04 G35 Sedan- my DD
'02 F250 Diesel- the tow truck
'96 240SX- race car
'93 Maxima (not driven, but still here)
'96 Hardbody- body crap and has rod knock- waiting on title so I can craigslist it
'95 240SX- parts car

Just sold my '90 Chevy C1500 last weekend. bought 5 years ago for $100 (battery and starter), put about $500 into it in maintenance, and sold it for $1200 on Sat.

Man, the OGs just keep coming out! Hope you're doing well Randy.

Nice BMW. I'm about to buy an 05-06 Frontier Crew Cab 4WD. It will be nice to finally have a decent truck.

wow look at all the old timers in here. Its good to see some responses from old friends.

Michael (candiman) good to see you still around. Did you get your car back together from the paint job?

Craig-I am ashamed to say I have not done a thing to the Chevelle. Priorities changed and I never got my shop built so its still sitting under my dads shed where it was when you were here last.

NO PINSTRIPE lol

Randy-nice car man. Your color too. My girls are doing well. My oldest is 12 now and in the 6th grade (I am sure some of you remember me posting a pic of her first day of K on the 4dsc forum) and my youngest is 7 now. I added a boy a little over 3 years ago...big difference from the girls lol.

Matt-good to see you still have your 3rd gen after all the work that went into it.

Dave-Well I got to talk to you the other day good to see you on here though.

Yeah, I'm in hog heaven. It's more than I need for sure, but I say if you go, go big.

Bimmer

LOL, yeah my kids love it. I was hoping the 240 would be big enough for a while, but there's just not enough leg room for a 7 and 4 year old back there, especially with a 6'4" driver.

Yup, found her in Austin. One of my buddies test drove it and took detailed pics for me then I had BMW of Austin do a 'used car inspection'. All is good and now it's with us in SoCal. It's a beast to drive.

Yeah, I was so happy to find the color combo I wanted. Silver with Black leather and Aluminum trim.

12!!! Holy cow, it has been a while. Congratulations on your son!
My son is now 7 and playing T-ball and doing karate. My daughter is 4 and in a tap/ballet class. My wife agreed to the BMW for 3 big reasons.
1 - gets us down to 2 cars.
2 - all the car parts/mods move out of our garage and the BMW lives there. (it's being modded with sheet rock as we speak)
3 - she gets to drive it some days. Hot rod mom!

Nice M bud! thats the car i was looking at prior to my infiniti. quick question: is your VANOS system working on your car or do you have the dreaded failure that haunts M owners from that generation to this day?

you lucky SOB. i love those E39 M5, i should start looking into an E46 M3 but i guess i'll settle for an E53 X5 4.4,4.6, or 4.8 which ever if not an FX35 or FX45. my 335i seems like its getting smaller and smaller and i think its time for a bigger car. but nice M5 Randy keep the miles low and change its oil frequently.

haha yeah I don't think so. I thought when I enclosed my carport and made a garage I would get to start on it then but that one car garage is just not big enough. I have to build my shop first. I am saving up again so maybe next year unless something else comes up I have to use the money on.

Juan, good to hear from you. You doing any painting? I have all but given it up except for little things for myself and family. It wasn't fun anymore so I quit doing it lol.

Got 3 kids and the wife says that's it. 2 girls and a boy. 12, 7, 3.

Welcome back Michael

It looks like I'm going sell my max, I've got a friend thats got to let go of a low mileage 97 328i. So I've got the next month and a half to do some basic repairs on my car before selling it.

i thought my daughter and your son were born at the same time, but my daughter is 2 1/2. close enough.

havent actually painted in a while. i manage a production style body shop fixing 30-40 cars a week. although it's very fun and fulfilling, i havent had alot of time to work on my cars/truck(i'm making a 4 door 95 hardbody. cabs done, making a frame now)

Took me a minute to remember which piece you were referring to. But yeah the radiator is still holding strong, I think I re-did it once but its been holding ever since.

back story for those who care. I hit a deer a few years back and Juan hooked me up with his hood (painted it really well). The shock from hitting the deer sheered off a radiator mount on the top, it left a ~1/2" hole in the radiator that I plugged with a self taping oil drain plug and some epoxy. Not all epoxies can work in ethylene glycol though.

I wouldn't mind getting back in to a 3rd Gen here soon. I sold mine (and was horribly lowballed) when I was planning on moving to upstate New York, which fell though. I haven't seen too many prospects of a VE around here though.

Thanks. I plan on trying to keep this one for awhile. I have had 3 or 4 others. I need to do a little work on it but it should last me for a long time. Only has 90k on it.
