air filter

hey , i want to get a K&N air filter for my 92 SE and i wanted to know if there was a considerable change in the sound. i know i wont get much if any horsepower change but i just want to know if it sounds better,

it will have a smoother sound on the highway and everyday driving, not a loud loud sound, smoother ride

Are you talking about a K&N reaplacement panel filter or a cone filter? The panel filter will have the same sound as it does now. A cone filter will give a bit more sound. If you want it to be real loud you need to remove the resonator that is molded into the intake pipe.

I have the K&N panel filter installed on my 92 SE. As far as I can noitce, there has been no increase in sound at all.
