Help with fornt passanger wheel bearing replace??

Help with fornt passanger wheel bearing replace??

Hey guys i have a 92 nissan maxima se dohc and am trying to replace my front passanger wheel bearing. I removed the tire brakes and the caplier but dont know how to access the wheel bearing itself. What do I do next?? Anybody have an online manual for it??

You have to remove the entire hub assembly, then have a shop press the old bearing out/press the new bearing in..Unless you have at least a 2 ton shop press handy..

You also have to make sure the hub itself is within spec. Otherwise the new bearings will go bad pretty quickly. Kind of sucks on 3rd gens since you can't buy a new hubs.

It's easy... take off: ball-joint, strut, outer tie-rod, axle nut, abs sensor. After all this is removed pull the steering knuckle off of the axle. Take care not to pull the CV Axle out of the transmission housing. If you do pull it out by accident don't panic, a lot of ATF will spill but you can pop the axle back in and add fluid. Once the knuckle is removed you can take it somewhere to have the old bearing pressed out and the new one pressed in.
-You're going to need an alignment after all this/

The hub is still available from Nissan, I looked them up the other day. They are fairly pricey for the assembly but they are available!

Yeah they even have some new ones on ebay.
