I NEED HELP! AIRBAG & Batt. lights on...

My CD/DVD player stopped working and I went to unintall it something must have happened in between the time I unhooked it and tried to reconnect the old one... My clock went out and there is no power to the CD player... Ive checked/tested all fuses and I got nothing... All of them appear to be good...

Another thing is that on my dash... The Air back light and batt. light is on everytime I crank it up... I cant seem to locate the problem...

airbag, oil, battery, etc. should all come on when you start your car.
are they turning off, after the car starts?

I know all of them cut on when the car starts but they usually cut off not they just sit on and the only two that sit on are the Aribag and the batt light but the batt light is not fully lite up.

Can somebody tell me why these lights are one and my door lights are not on either... there is no deck in the car because it was sent off for repair but that should not cause my door lights stay off and for my airbag light and batt light to be on while driving...

Clear your airbag indicator by turning the key "on" and hitting the door switch 5 or maybe 7 times within 10 seconds or something, turn the key off shut the door and back on, I forget the exact procedure, google it if you must. Unless it's being caused by charging system issue, that process might not work. Might help to reset your time control unit, airbag unit, ect. Unplug your batt for a 15 minutes and reintroduce power, see if it's back to normal. If that doesn't work, go get a free electrical check at autozone or some other shop.

3rd gens are old cars. You can't expect 15+ year old car to be as electrically sound as the one just off the factory. Most cars of this age have been already recycled. I wouldn't call it a crap especially after it couldn't survive your wrenching. If you don't have patience then you're right and it would be wise for both of you to part . In case you still want it - do what post #5 suggests, starting from the bottom (disconnecting battery, etc) and see if that would help. I can hardly see how fooling around head unit could possibly kill alternator.
