ECU Numbers
ECU Numbers
Im trying to get a replacement ECU off ebay and having the following problem.
None of the ECU's listed on there match the same parts number as mine (FJ A18-A17 E08 )
I've got a 94 euro spec VG30e Auto.
Anyone know if a 92 ECU ( A18-A83 EA1) will work
Cheers.

Thanks.
Mines not listed though.
Gues what im truing to find out is, as long as the engine and trans is the same, would an ECU with a different part number from the years 90-94 work?
Also the reg on the JWT says F,C or U Im guessing F=Fedral C=Californian but what is U?

Seriously though, I'd just get a non-cali ECM. The numbers are probably just different revisions of the PCB or something. Cali models are tweaked to conform to strict emissions guidelines. I have a spare federal one if you want for a good price (A13-A18-E71). Shoot me a PM.
