when the engine is OUT of the car it's about 1000X easier.

Yea he forgot to show us how to pull the engine too lol


It's a whole different thing doing it while engine is in the car vs outside the car

I have two studs to extract from the flange on my firewall exhaust manifold. Think I'll rip the heatshield off it to get better access to the other side of the studs.

IIRC I removed manifolds when I was doing that on my VE30DE - I had 2 on the front and 1 - on the back bank. As my luck would have it I ruined the engine less than a year after ... I did replace them on the substitute while it was still out of the car .

yea usually you want to pull the exhaust manifolds and replace the gaskets while you're there
