Drive computer?

I just noticed when looking throuh my Haynes manual for 1985 - 1992 Maxima that they mention a "Drive computer equipped type" fuel pump.

I never heard of a Maxima with a drive computer before (drive computer for me is like in newer cars, that display fuel consumption etc.)

Was this an option for 3rd gen (or 2nd gen?)?

Yeah, it's just a MPG, distance till empty readout gimmick on 2nd gen digital dash models.

I knew someone here would have an answer

My 3rd gen digital dash does not have it, and not mentioned in the FSM either, so 2nd gen only I guess.
