Just a little brake upgrade
Just a little brake upgrade
due to this..... (note the glowing rotors)

I decided to do this...

Wilwood dynalites
2006 buick lacrosse rotors 11.75 x 1.25 x cheap (custom hub centric spacers)
tested them out at Autobahn full track in Joliet IL and they were amazing. Looking forward to Gingerman raceway in Michigan next weekend.

Now theirs proof i was there..... Brakes performed wonderfully this past weekend at gingerman raceway in Michigan. there new 1800 foot strait allowed me to achieve almost 130 mph and they had no problem stopping me from there. Me and another turbo maxima buddy of mine had a nice friendly little battle during one of the final session.. he recorded video in both of our cars so hopefully he posts that up here.
i was just ready to say how the hell did they get RHD 3rd gens but i just noticed its the picture and theyre really LHD
ive looked for RHD 3rd gens and people that own garages in Japan that i know say they rarely see 3rd gens anymore, it seems only AUS and NZ have them around
the R33 tail swapped 3rd gen is nice but that crappy wing just ruins it

Trax your car has definitely come a long way since that day. Work in progress then...thing of beauty now.
I don't think the sign was a handicapped. If I remember right it said "No backing in to spots"

what kind of pads you using on the wilwoods? I've had great luck with Hawk HT-10 and have tried a handfull of others from Wilwood, Cobalt, Carbotech, and Hawk...
What's the offset on those rotors? look close to the R32 GTR non-Brembo rotors. They're 11.75" x 1.25" as well.
Also, what's the price on those rotors?
I run a 2-pc version of the R32 on my race car, so if you need to go that way I can get you set up with the drawings and whatnot for the hats. Total cost was around $400 for the hats, rotors, and hardware.

well, after being in such a rush to get my car done for the weekend at gingerman, i remembered everything but my track pads... so the first day i was on a wilwood street compound... and ill say, they sucked. however when my dad finally got my track pads to me (wilwood polymatrix B compound) They were amazing. Much more brake than my REO1Rs could take. That gives a good sense of security and really helps in later braking confidence. They had absolutely NO problem bringing me down from 130ish MPH first straight and then 100ish immediately following in the second straight throughout 20 min sessions. Ive been doing gingerman for many years now and Ive never had Such good brakes. once i wear through the B compound i may try a few others, Although my local performance warehouse stocks them for cheap so i may just go that route again. The rotors are only about $40 each, thats a big part of why i went with this setup... i wanted cheap rotors. After 3 track days they still look perfect and aren't warped a bit so im quite satisfied. My buddy should be posting some dual in car video of me and him lapping together. He also has a turbo maxima so it was quite a fun session.

The only issue with that is the brakes shift WAY to the front. I wound up having to use proportioning valves + Z31 rear rotors to dial back the fronts so the rears actually did something.
There are plenty of track compounds available for the Z32 calipers, BUT they're 3-4x the price of the pads that fit the Wilwoods. Keep in mind the pads are smaller on the Dynalite caliper so they don't last as long, but it's much easier to experiment without killing the budget.
These are all common Hawk compounds:
____________Z32Frt________Superlite_____Dynalite
Blues________$188__________$128_________$65
HT-10_______$195__________$128_________$69
DTC-60______$203__________$160_________$67
HP+_________$117__________$88__________$55
HPS_________$88___________$84__________$55
As Jeff said, you'd have to use a custom bracket, but I may still have the bracket from my 13" x 1.25" + Dynalite setup..
