well that's what a normal person would do, yeah. he's hell-bent on trying to find some other way to do it tho.

I believe your "saving" money in the Present will equal wasting money in the future buddy... Listen to the guys they know all about it if they say your best and cheapest option is to go get another motor and swap it in then thats what you do...Just my 2 cents man best of luck to you.

keep in mind you're talking about an engine...

cheap doesn't work with engines.

yeah cheap doesnt work, its better to just get it right the first time than to constantly take the cheap way out. go to the JY and get a engine from a clean 3rd gen that looks like it was old people owned and youre set
