Car Radio - FM Stopped working? Low Sound?

Hello. If you hate reading big jumbled text,
I highlighted the major questions
in RED.

Thank you.

----------------RADIO------------
Ok I have bad speakers as it is, but atleast I could play music semi loud, and hear it...with a bit of da basss!

I normally use a PSP and an FM/AM Transmitter to play music of my selection.

Anyway .., FM is really low..,

I cannot pick up any stations.., and if I do, volume is SUPER low.

Can FM/AM Transmitters kill your FM/AM receiver or something? And is it now killed..? Or..

Something disconnected all of a sudden?

Take my radio out and see the wires connecting it from behind..? If so how do I take my radio out in the first place

------------Misfire----------

Misfires can be caused by a bad fuel injector, or by a bad spark plug thats bad, or even ok but semi bad causing the misfire.., right?

I ask how can you tell or test if a spark plug is bad..
Bad fuel injector.., thats probably hard to replace, but if you know how sure tell me. But I hope you don't need to take out the engine. I dont have a garage.
Its parked outside in my development.

Car has been taking me everywhere I need to go, but I notice its not as powerful as it used to be.. and its loud.. but hey it takes me where i need to go in style but ..loud.

Do you have a 93 SE or a 93 GXE?

Possibly different solutions for your misfire question.

Also, do you have a stock stereo or aftermarket? That wasn't clear. If you have a Bose stock system, they have built in amps on each speaker. Your amps or speakers could be failing. The amps are notorious for conking out. Your car is now 17 years old. Electronic stuff just craps out over time and these aren't known for longevity. You can put in an inexpensive aftermarket system for a couple hundred dollars.

------------THE RADIO.-----------
How can I tell if I have the BOSE? I think I have stock.

I have a 93 GXE.

The radios left front, and one.. possibly 2 idk back speaker/s, work. First the front left radio will kick in only upon start up..., then the back one/s will kick in.

But FM is shot, picks up like one station, but you cant hear ANYTHING. The volume is so damn low now..

--------------- THE NOISE ------------
Ive been told I had an exhaust leak before and I think I still do. Mechanic way back tried to replace 2 missing bolts on the front exhaust gasket manifold, yeah.., its a big word. Sound went away, day later it came back.

So yes my maxima has been driving since Feb when that mechanic ripped me off, sounding like a motorcycle. ((PA Auto Service on Columbia Ave in Lancaster, PA to be specific area code 17603..if you want to slash their tires of their cars on the lot please.., be my guest.))
So now.., my maxima sounds like a motorcycle and has ever since. A harley davidson chopper motorcycle to be specific.

bose will say "bose" on the head unit, and speaker grills.
recommend replacement, it's a 17 year old radio using even older technology.

I would guess you have broken exhaust manifold studs and/or warped manifold (s). If you do a search, this is pretty common. It's not an easy job to do, but not impossible.

Broken exhaust manifold studs must be removed and replaced. That will usually cause a "ticking" sound, especially when cold. I imagine at a certain point, it just starts blowing exhaust out enough to sound like a motorcycle and start losing power.

Yeah.., I had someone fix this (Exhaust manifold studs missing or whatever) to pass inspection, and I did pass inspection, but his work didn't hold up and the sound was still there.

How much should i be able to get this fixed for at a good price? Its a 93 and I shouldnt have to spend a ridiculous amount just to replace some bolts the correct right way.

---RADIO---

Havent used it in a while, then the other day it was working and wasn't as low as it was before? Shorts in wiring? How much should a new sound package cost me? Lowgrade or decent..? Just for speakers and a radio
