Ksport springs installed!
Soo today installed my ksport springs... and... i love them! haha i guess its just a matter of time before i find out how they hold up or what kind of problems they might cause ? But as for now i am very pleased with the ride height, handling, and the smoothness of the ride. Im actually very supprised at how smooth it is lol its not hard and super stiff like i thought it would be. But in the end they cost me $126 shipped to my house and lowered the max 2.2 inches.
ill try to post some pics here in a sec

Hahah nah man that was the work we did two weeks ago to fix the oil leak coming from the rear main seal... which btw now has randomly stopped leaking a week after replacing it hahah but it was pretty gnarly man the trannie had to come out and all! We used a floor jack and a chess table to drop that trannie out in my backyard hahaha

shulda posted about it.

haha
i was getting jelous for a second there.. so how did those mudflaps work out for you man?
nice drop man are you runnin 17" wheels? it looks a little higher than my 2" intrax drop but that might be because i have 18's... you got a lipkit upfront?? if not that would totally pull the look together!
So you combined the K-sports w/monroe sensa tracs huh, looks good and sound like a good combo. Now do u think those struts can handle that kinda drop or what? It sounded like u were a little concerned bout that mann, I would cause I do not believe sensa tracs are set up 4 a 2.2 drop like that. I was thinking of doing same combo but sticking with my sonars 4 now. Other than dat, U did nice job on the install my dude!.
Sorry guys, but there's no way that's a 2.2" drop. You wouldn't WANT a 2.2" drop in a 3rd gen as it would seriously be basically undriveable. Those actually look like they're about 1.5" drop or so. Do you have any larger pics that show the whole car from the side in the same shot?
BTW Intrax is 1.75" not 2"
Look at the blue VE in my sig - those are on Intrax 1.75" drop.. which definitely looks lower than the Ksport
Either way, that's a good price on the springs. Where did you get them? eBay?

Oh and why would it be undriveable if it were actually a 2.2 drop ?? cuz i had some hella wheel gap haha i'd say at most 3-4 inches! but ill take some pics today from the side soo yall can check out the stance... the rear had less wheel gap than the front did soo it doesnt look to weird to me but yall can see what you think of it.
You know i was kinda thinkin that lol it didnt look 2.2 to me either... thats just what the description said haha but either way im satisfied with the height, but yeah they came from ebay. Right now only the fronts are in... im a lil skeptical bout the rears cuz not only are they a PITA but im super picky bout the stance and i feel like it might bull dawg a lil in the rear with these springs and the stance it has now, with just the fronts is pretty good, but im thinkin bout pickin up some other springs that dont drop it as much and using those on the rear. But yall got any thoughts on this ??
They're probably realistically a 1.5"-ish drop up front, and 1.3"-ish drop in the rear, which should look good and give the stance that you want.
Stick them on and see!
Also, I say a 2.2" drop up front would be virtually undriveable because the Intrax drop is probably at the lowest limit to provide real-world driveability. I mean, you COULD drive around with a 2.2" drop, but you wouldn't be able to get your camber/alignment in spec at all, and you'd scrape/get hung on all sorts of crap constantly, have trouble getting into most driveways, and you certainly wouldn't be able to get ANY jack under the car. I can barely get a slim-jack under my car on Intrax
Well, I looked the springs up, and they actually list at 2.2" drop up front, and 2" drop in the back. So, assuming it's all relative, the back is probably not as low of a drop as the front (which is what you're saying).

Hmmm interesting haha yeah when i get some more spare time i think i will slap em on there and yeah i see what your sayin about the driveability... that would be annoying as hell haha but yeah now all i need are some spacers and ill be "sortafrush"
YALL should fudge with some camber bolts......
I got the front strut to spindle camber bolts at a local speed shop
for iirc 25-30 and its way better,i can tell its riding more on the whole tire footprint and they arent wearing out on the inside
i cant belive i waited so long
ive had these sprint springs for 8-9 years on 2 diff third gens
and im still riding on the blue tokicos that came on my white gxe like 10 years ago so they're prob 12+years old
these camber correction bolts are easy to install
and i just "set them to the most positive camber
setting "which is still a little negative and i remembered to mark them with paint so i can see if they spin out of where i set them
borat thinks they are "very Nice"

and yeah i know monroe isnt the best choice... but other struts that can properly handle the springs are a lil hard to come by and when the monroes were free i figured why not

Sooo these camber bolts are a good investment huh ?? Will they help prolong the life of some of the front end parts ?
Theyre 225/45/17

Get the bolts, put them in, and then go find an alignment shop that knows how to adjust the bolts (most should be able to). Then enjoy your properly aligned, camber in spec, lowered 3rd gen
Yes, you definitely, definitely want the camber bolts. They're only like $25 bucks or so. There's really no good reason whatsoever NOT to run the camber bolts.

and it might not look like a 2.2" drop b/c he's running tires that are 0.5" shorter than stock. if he had full size (25.5" tall) tires it would have a bit less wheelgap on all 3 sides.

@ Sensatrac... you can kiss those goodbye by the end of the year. Monroe are about the puzziest struts out there.
