Tail Light conversions on 3rd Gens?

Are there any good ones? It seems like there are no cool taillight conversions for 3rd gen maximas. Clear ones dont look good, there are no altezza lights, has anyone done a conversion that looks like a skylines back lights maybe? Post pics of things you guys have done to change your back lights, thnks.

You can't improve on PERFECTION!

Put it this way, it's easy to make the 3-gen rear uglier, but it's 10x harder to make it prettier.

they are far from perfect but the 92-94 SE tails look better than the 89-91 se and 89-94 gxe

I put a Black SE center pannel on my GXE. Am I the only one who has done this?

I have mine blacked out with FoliaTec tail light smoke. I like it and it doesn't look silly or illegal like the covers that you see on so many cars.
I do know someone who can MAKE altezzas, but that's just silly and costs like 4 billz or something like that. Keep em stock...

I have a picture somewhere of a job he did on my buddies Monte Carlo. If I can find it, I'll scan it and post it, but I've moved and... well, you know how that goes.

R33 tails

I plan on putting R33 tails on my max as soon as I can afford the mod, but it's gonna cost like $800 and that's alot for such a minor cosmetic upgrade. I think it would look pretty tight, though!

Nothing wrong with the 3rd Gen tails, I miss them everytime I look at my 95's ***. Factory clears in '89 can't be beat.

Driving with/around R32 and R33's is a daily routine for me and I can't imagine how cringeworthy it would be to have Skyline tails fitted to my Maxima. Its not a Skyline, or a Lexus (its not 'Euro' either).

I don't understand what is so cringe-worthy of it? I see plenty of Preludes and Honda crapsters with them and that seems pretty cringe-worthy but I don't see what's wrong with them on a Max. It's more fitting than BMW headlights, and still you see a lot of that. I think it's cool, if done right.
BTW: there's nothing Euro about a Skyline anyway.

Because 'other' car imitation is just not seen as cool down here I suppose. You see Skyline tails on Skylines, simple as that. The other contributing factor is that for the money I paid for my Max I could've purchased an R32 GTS-t or non turbo R33. So why on earth would I want to shout to the R33 driver at the lights next to me, "hey man, look at my R33 tails".

I'm Maxima proud, at the moment

I'm VERY proud of my Maxima, and I have spent every penny I have (and don't) on it since I got it, but I still think the tails are cool, regardless of what's IN wherever you're from. (SA?) Anyhow, I'm in Indianapolis and you don't even see many Maxima's around here that don't have car seats and screaming kids in the back and a trunk full of groceries, dig?
Peace...
