Odd 5-speed Problem

I just finished swapping my engine and trans from my wrecked car into a new one. I started the car up, backed it out of the driveway about 10 feet and heard a pop. After that the car wont move in any gear. It shifts smoothly into any gear and there is no grinding or other noise at all. Anyone have an idea what could have happend?

can you actually feel it going into gear? if so, I would recommend you check the clutch out. perhaps it broke the clutch plate.

that's really weird... I would expect some additional noises, if something sheared.

pull the clutch fork boot and look inside. see if the TO bearing looks okay. i had a similar situation and it was mine. check my cardomain site for that clutch problem. also try checking to see if the slave cylinder works okay.
either way, you prolly need to drop the tranny. sucks...

Does the clutch pedal feel ok when after the noise? If not I would at the fork and throw out bearing first.
