infiniti J30 front brakes
I know where a nice infiniti J30 is sitting in a JY and not in bad shape..couple of things I've been eyeing...interior(leather seats) are in really good condition..but dont know if they'll work..I might just take the cushion parts. The question is..Will the front brake (dual piston) setup work on our maxes. I know lots of us can get technical with this question..just wondering.

Did it to my car several years back...Very worthwhile. You need to buy J30 or Q45 rotors (the setup is the same, I specify 1992 Q45 rotors when I order) and have 3-5 mm machined off of the OD (I forget the exact number, it's been several years). Order Q45 brake pads and you will have to dremel a notch in the brake pad shim to get it to fit correctly (no pad material will be removed). Oh, and remember to remove the factory dust shield (the thicker rotors won't clear it) and to have the calipers rebuilt after pulling them from a junk car. Might want to add some SS brake lines while you are at it for good measure...Good luck!
