Help, heelllpppp...not really.

Welp I'm starting to feel like my days on here is numbered...pretty much conquered the 3rd gen, thanks to the vast resource of the .org, I was able the substancially accelerate the learning curb. Anyway let me get to the point...I have a gearbox that sound and feel sh!tty that is until I put some Sta Lube SL24229 GL4 in that biatch. A little heavier than Nissan recommend but nice in the old worn out boxes we're stuck with. The best part is it's right there at your local Napa store. Pull your head out your asses and give it a try.

did you just add it to the box, or drain and fill with it?

I thought I fixed my transmission when I put fresh oil in as well. Bearing noise went away for a good month or so. Then was forced to fix it the right way another few months after that.

Props on the VE swap, but I wouldn't quite say you've "conquered the 3rd gen" Takes years of dedication to make a car your *****.

I added the oil to it. I should do a drain and fill because I highly doubt the previous owner had the savvy to put the correct oil in.
The VE swap is solid so far and the only this that doesn't work is the cruise control and I suspect the ASCD pump is the culprit. Not really motivated to fix it I guess.
I haven't conquered the the rebuilding of the engine or tranny...I would simply replace. Less time and money involved, I also have a spare transmission the motor will be next? Maybe.
