Brake & Battery Light Illuminating sporadically

Brake & Battery Light Illuminating sporadically

First off, I didn't search before I posted this but this seems like a unique problem.

Drive-ability is not effected whatsoever but whenever I increase my speed both of the lights (Brake & Battery) flash randomly and the faster I accelerate the faster they illuminate until they look almost like a solid.

I'm gonna check the connections and what not but just wanted run this by to see if this was somewhat of a "common" problem

alternator connectors or just alternator is dead. More then likely alternator is dead though

It happened to me last winter. It's the alternator not the connections. Driveability is not affected because you got a good battery, but start her up and drive around with the battery disconnected and see what happens. Time to spend on her again...merry christmas.

I just bought a new alternator in the spring because my other one died on me
Voltage checks out fine.

I will get a video up soon

Voltage doesn't mean anything if your amperage isnt putting out. Our amps the VE alternators make if it is a VE is 95 amps.

If you are sure your alternator from spring is ok, double check your alternator belt. Check tension and belt condition. Belt shouldn't show any "break-outs". I only use OEM belts. Make sure it isn't slipping under load or higher rpm.

Super late response and apologies with getting no video up (sourcing a computer has been difficult - let alone to up load videos on) but that's exactly what it was..the belt was just loose.

Ur a bad man . When you drive an older car it's good to develop a habit of opening the hood and looking around every once in a great while. You just might see that something that needs attention.

Well I'm still learning my way around the maintenance routines so it was something I just so happened to overlook. I couldn't notice it with the car running because it's not like it's bam right in my face but I will know from now on so that's the main thing.
