"89" Automatic Transmission help please!

Hey guys I'm to figure if my problem is mechanical or electrical. I haven't had any issues leading to my problem or anything. One day I'm turning the corner and I go to get back on the gas and the car is not moving. I have fluid, I can shift to any gear but no movement in all gears. What could be the issue?

Have you got the car moving again? Have you tried to wiggle the A/T shifter stick when you put in drive. The shifter contacts on these maximas often don't make a circuit and I've been wiggling my shifter for years to get it to engage .

yeah i get that too, to get it in drive i have to give it a wiggle towards the bottom. but if it wont go into any gears i doubt its that

have you checked the shifter itself yet OP?

I see the linkage working fine on the transmission when I pull the handle back and forth. I had to in the past give the handle and a little pull downward and then it would enage but now it's engaging in any gear.
