Don't swap to manual. I can fix whatever issues you're having, whether it's the control unit or fan speeds.

The best way to go about the climate control repair is via exchange with a refundable core deposit. I have prefurbished units ready to go. That way you're not stuck without heat or A/C during turn around time; since the controls still function although you can't see the display. Anyone in need, just send me a PM.

All I asked was how to swap it guys... not looking to repair or anything else I need The A/C to work and in order to do that I need to know what setting is on. This auto cc has no light but all the buttons do work its just the screen doesn't show anything...

I have climate control and very happy with, at times the screen dims and makes difficult to see in the daytime. There is a control that dims it by mistake but it works and I swapped out with new control box but the solar sensor is out of whack.

Are the edges of the display dimming? If it's a consistent dim over the entire display, then that's just the auto dim feature which occurs when the parking/head lights are on. Even when the brightness switch is to the max, it's still not as bright as when lights are off. If one wanted to, one could disconnect the illumination wire so one could have full brightness at all times

oh they are magical

the swap between mph and kmh is flawless too

only problem is the LEDs i bought are single SMD leds that only point outwards so my illumination isnt as solid as an incandescent...may just go with an amber bulb

btw im still waiting on my ACC unit to arrive in the mail...maybe youll have to fix that too

It's not the auto dimming when Parking/headlights are turned on...when illuminated correctly it is very bright, bright enough to see perfectly on a sunny day. It's back and forth with this happening, I've even tried swapping another unit in to no avail. I'm not sure what it is, somebody said something about the solar dial.

Too alleviate the "hot spots" caused by the LEDs you can just sand their surface lightly so that it looks scuffed or frosted evenly all over. Then the lights reflected in many different angles. Doesnt always work 100% but I have redone all of the interior including the radio and climate controls and they are lit almost perfectly even all over. Although I am not sure what the LEDs you bought look like, i soldered resistors and LEDs i got cheap on ebay in, as long as they have a lense you can sand it should help alot.
