Odd question

So I've noticed the majority of the VG30E 3rd gens in the wrecking yards always have in upper intakes off, is there something the peeps are looking for? I've also noticed the twin circular valve on the underside that opens,is this a secondary air valve for upper RPM power? TIA

There all getting the injctors. Since they are famous for going bad. It the same way around here. The valves you are looking at is a intake air butterfly (IAB)

its the opposite here, people just take the window motors and fuel pump and thats it such a waste, usually only JDM RHD or newer cars get fully stripped

Everytime I go to the pick a part, all of the injectors from every VG Maximas are gone. Not sure if it's the pick a part company that takes them off or the junkies that get them the minute the car lands on the yard.

buy them new cuz you never know if those are also bad and chances are they are. so just buy them new. it'll save you the trouble of taking everything apart the second time around.

yea its the same around here, everyone is getting the injectors out of the vg engines, they go bad when you least expect it. I had to get a few the other week! I had 2 die on me at one time! Now im an expert at changing injectors lol!

I have spare injectors/fuel rail just incase. I got my Max dirt cheap cause it had a bad injector, the owner didn't know jack shyt bout auto. New is always better but if you find the right used Max then the injector should last. Considering that the vg is a bit more of a pain I will always consider new if the motor is worthy.
