carbon fibre centerpiece
JDM of course
wanted to fill in the centerpiece, versus going through getting a custom piece of metal to fill it and painting it i just got some CF wrap on Ebay, 60"x24" for $10 (pretty sure the seller wasnt happy, this stuff goes for way more usually )
just removed the 8 bolts, took the center out, washed it with a wet cloth, and cut enough wrap out giving a inch extra on each side. laid it on widthwise, smoothed out creases, and then cut the extra inch off of each side. used a hairdryer to smooth out every last crease and smooth all the edges, and then just bolted it back on.
took about 30 minutes, and went pretty good considering i usually suck ***** at artsy stuff bit of pressure too because this version of CF wrap is permanent.
excuse the dirty car, going for a wash after the Rays go on tomorrow

That came out pretty well, actually. We can't hold the car color against you
Would definitely go better overall with the rest of the car if you did VE trim and taillight conversion

so whats with the black goop on taillights? ive seen 3rd gens at the junkyard and theres black goop around where the taillight would be, do you have to reapply the goop to swap tails?
after the rims go on i might hunt down some SE tails, a Euro grille, and possibly smoke my clearcorners

carbon fiber needs paint, just like fiberglass
not horrible looking, though. and really good deal on the vinyl.
black goop is the tail light seal. don't want water in the trunk, do ya? window weld, same stuff. ask the civic guys where to find some
edit: oh, need to cut the hole for the key (or something), looks weird with the indentation there. definitely like how the maxima logo is 3d.
and +1 on VE tails.

the keyhole in the trunk has never worked, one of the 2 previous owners must have buggered it up but i dont really care
im not really the first to do this, first to use CF wrap i think maybe but others have just either painted the center or just welded a piece of metal in, but me and paint usually ends up not so well
think i'll CF wrap my tails now, should be safe JK JK lol

+1 on the sticker removal
also this could look really good if you only did the top/red part and left the lower section with "NISSAN" and "MAXIMA" how it is originally, that way the reverse/turn signal section isnt interrupted across the back
eh?
