Transmission identification?

I just purchased another max for the mods the body is rusted to hell, but the mods are in good shape and theirs a bunch of them, he also said he did an LSD trans swap. My question is how can I identify if the trans is LSD or not?

Lift the front wheels off the ground and with the car in neutral turn the wheel by hand and if the other turns...LSD.

The other axle will turn with an open diff as well, in the opposite direction.

Or you could take one of your axles out and if you can see straight through to the other axle then its vlsd. Non vlsd has a bar in the center seperating the axles.

Swapping complete spindle assemblies is less work/easier anyway..

Why do extra work?
