Making a shift light

I am looking at Craig's site on adding a gauge or shift light How To. Does anyone know how to make a shift light? Like what kind of wires do i run to a bulb and hooked up to what? I tried a search but did not find anything. Any help would be appreciated

search on here for Harlan shift lights. They had a sale for like $50 or so for the normal shift light and it is a decent unit. I think RussMaxManiac posted the link. You could get one of those and mount the light behind the dash in that spot where I added the light if you want or somewhere else. Some camaro guy on the Harlan site mounted it inside a vent which looks pretty cool.
