Can 1994 GXE Injectors be re-wired to work in a 1992 Brougham Chassis?

I'm doing a swap. The engine (VG30E) out of a 94 GXE Into the 1992 Brougham Edition chassis. The injector harness connectors are different from one chassis to another. The connectors for the 92 are larger rectangular and have a thin paper clip like wire that holds them in place. The 94 injectors have smaller connectors that snap in with a tab.

I basically want to use the 94 injectors in the 92 chassis. Does anyone forsee any problems if I snip the wires from the 92 main wiring harness and solder them to the 94 connectors?

Has anyone done this?

You have a few options. Easiest would be to swap fuel rails. Second would be to solder right plugs on back and just replace the hole front injector harness. It can separate if you didn't know.

Perfect Chris thanks for reminding me about the front harness. I'll just re-wire the back ones. Hopefully the +ve and -ve for both chassis harnesses are the same.

functionally they are but the colors might not match.. either way the orientations of the two styles' wires *should* match.

i'm pretty sure that there is a "common color" for all the hots, and then the grounds (to ECU) are different colors, but there might be one plug that's the same for for both wires. For that one, the wire that has continuity to the other 2 plugs' same-color wire will be the hot, and the leftover wire should be the ground.
