anyone notice that 3rd gen SEs come with a slight tannish colored "tint" to the windows? I dunno if its on all 3rd gens but on my 92 SE it is. If you look at the car at the right angle with a decent amount of sunlight you can see it. Being that Im getting probably 35/20/20 (or all 35) black tint in the spring will it turn out wierd b/c of this "tan" shaded tint?

 

My 92SE has that too -- I always assumed the glass was just of the "smoked" variety: not tinted, but manufactured in such a way to have that hue.

 

when its sunny outside and your maybe 25-50 feet away from my car, it seems like my tint isn't black but more like purple. i'm gonna change that soon....gonna get platinum tint all around

i don't think mine 3rd gen has the tan tint look...but i don't think my tint is factory. it's different colors and the back window got REALLY bubbly so i took it out

 

well.... purp tint is most likely cuz they used cheap tint
or they used window cleaner on the tint

we get that a lot .... the other day we had a 3rd gen
at my shop with bubbly purple tinted windows...
guess who they assigned to remove the old tint?
took me 3 freakin hours!!!

 

well i use Clearvue on my windows now. Will this be ok with the new tint?

 

I found out the hard way after someone tried to break into my car by smashing the window that my max has brown glass, some cars have a blue tint glass while others have the brown, cant really tell unless your looking for it............

 

i just got tint on my car and it looks good the brown makes it look a little bit litter though i got 35% on the sides and 20% on the back i got some picture but still try to figure how to post them

 

one of my favs too...all black on black with black tint and a nice lowering
