Nissan OEM Metric Bolt Grades Conversion
If any of you have wondered what those bolt markings mean on our 3rd gens, I found out what the current day standards conversion are in case you need to replace bolts and don't want to buy OEM bolts.
Nissan OEM Bolt Grades:
7T ("7") = 8.8
9T ("9") = 9.8
10T ("10") = 10.9
12T ("12") = 12.9
(JIS) Indian Spec
(SAE/DIN/IS)
Plain/Zinc Yield Strength:
8.8 93,000 psi
10.9 136,000 psi
12.9 160,000 psi
Stainless Yield Strength:
A2-70 65,000 psi
A4-80 87,000 psi
Nissan OEM Bolt Grades:
