ignition switch or starter?

ignition switch or starter?

this started last week. when I turn my key i hear a click but the car wont turn over unless i keep trying to turn it on a few times then it gives in and turns on. is this the ignition switch or the starter?

starter/battery.

if you hear the "click" it's not the switch.

maybe the starter battery cable? cuz it's a refurbished starter n it's like 2years old

the battery is new a few months old

I would say if the battery checks good, then the starter is your definite problem.

A loose or corroded terminal or loose starter cable will cause these symptoms, but of course can be anything in the circuit. They're the fattest wires in the car, check them and move on from there.

I have had a rash of bad reman starters. Had to replace, under warranty, like 3 times in a year. napa

bump*

it did it again today, smh.
now this time i got a reman starter from autozone and it still clicked and if i hold the key it clicks non stop.

im goin to yard tomorrow to ****** up the whole positive cable with the plugs and all and see if thats it.

can this be the ignition switch?
