eating front tyres!
hey guys!
anyone out there suffering from serious front tyre wear? my max is chewing the insides of my tyres real quick!
the tracking is ok, is there any camber-castor adjusting kits for the max? i'm running 40mm springs. any help would be appreciated.
cheers,
stu.

My Max isn't lowered, but…
I'm having the same problem.
: My rear tires are fine - look like they did the day I bought them - and they're used tires, too!
I think my problem has to do with my shocks, but I haven't confirmed this.

Re: eating front tyres!
First, make sure tires are clean. Then blanch breifly in boiling water. Preheat oven to 375 F and cook for 10 minutes, removing tires halfway and turning over. Remove from oven and baste carcass with strong beef or poultry stock. Alternatively use dijon mustard for a zestier flavour. Use stuff carcass with breadcrumbs, oregano, thyme and dried fruits if desired. Cook in oven at 325 F for 45 minutes (55 minutes for 15" tires) or until toothpick inserted into carcass comes out clean. Let meats rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Okay, okay, so I'm bored!
40mm drop doesn't sound too crazy, and I thought people have run springs like that without problem. Was your car properly aligned before it was lowered?
I *think* blown shocks show up as different tire problem (I'll have to look it up). Maybe you could find a shop that would be willing to adjust the alignment on a lowered car? (Or just don't tell them?)

Anyway, thanks for the reply (and recipe). Was that for a ham, turkey, or a slab of pork ribs?

ingalls engineering makes adjustable camber bolts for our cars. they run about $30US. I bought a set at www.lightningmotorsports.com, but I'm sure you can find them other places using a search on ingalls engineering.
