Tomorrow I going to replace the struts on my 93SE Max. The front one look easy enough to replace but how do you get at the back ones? Do I need to remove the rear seat to gain access to the top bolts of the rear struts or do I have to remove the rear deck where the rear speakers are mounted to?

just curious, what kind of struts did you get? how much? so when you say put the screwdriver between the cushion and the rear deck and pop the clips out, does this mean the clips in the deck and the deck will come out? just thinking ahead because im going to do my struts too.

 

I got Monroe Sensa-Trak struts for all four. My brother-in-law (a FORD service manager) recommended these. I was just looking for a pretty good shock. Yes there are much better ones, but, wish I had more money to put something good in the car but, got limited funds (funs - too). That's why I doing it myself - plus mechanics always seem to mess up something. Got 'em the local auto parts store, 2 front struts, 2 rear cartidges and boot-kit for the front. Cost about $300 (I think).
How important is it to get the car realigned after and is this all wheels or just the front two? Will report later on this
