rear disc brake conversion help please
So I have searched around the .org site and the web for information on converting my rear GXE brake system for the SE disc brakes, so far havent found much more than a few broken links. I have a worthy 91 GXE and a donor 89 SE but Im not sure of its diff level or cost. If I were to try this procedure is there still enough information out there to guide me along? Any advice?

Since fluid volume and pressure in a wheel cylinder is different than a caliper, you might want to replace the proportioning valve too. not replacing it might cause a big delay/grab in your rear wheels.
Well guys I decided not to do this procedure on the maxx because I simply have too much other stuff to do right now. I have two timing belt/water pump procedures to do and two LCA bushing procedures, a complete tune up/oil change/O2 sensor job on mine so I can go to emissions this month, plus the wife’s Durango needs some brake work and window regulators replaced. I also have a 94 Chevy S10 and a 91 Mazda Navajo that need a little attention before I can put them up for sale. If I were to pull the things needed off of 5-speed SE donor in the shop it won’t be a rolling chassis and will be harder to get to the JY. Besides for me it’s not so much about the mods as it is about just having a good dependable, reliable stock daily driver. I did pull the manual transmission from the donor and everything else I could think of (starter, alt, door switches, regulators, front clip, bumpers, etc etc) so I will store all that away for if/when ever needed.
But yea thanks for the feedback and the information links, not too scuured just too busy...... hahaha
