i was wondering everyones opinion on what i should paint my max next month? it can stay the same color even. it cant be to expensive though. i was thinking si blue or something similar.

Hmm...tough call...Blue would look very nice! I'd probably choose a metallic hue, myself. Then again, you could take the road less traveled and go with a bright yellow. But you'd really have to be serious about it. I'm sure whatever you choose will look good. BTW, I dig your grill! Pretty slick...

 

what kind of paint job are you going to get? Also, How much is it going to cost you?

 

well i am going to get a full exterior paintjob for around 600.00. this shop is doing my moms lincoln towncar and hes a friend of the family so alli have to do is drive from here in ohio to florida to get it painted whenever i want. its kinda my b-day gift. im thinking for color ford electric blue, or CHROME PAINT all over with DUBBS!

 

The red isn't a very common thing for a Max. I'd keep it if you already like it.

i'd have to agree, but i guess you can't really tell from the pics but your car looks like it's got a nice job already done to it, and it's a hot color, but maybe you need it. and yeah, black is always nice...

another question...what kinda suspension setup are you running?

well i am running a normal stock suspension. i have done nothing to improve it. i am doing eibach and tokico here in a few months. it should look nice. I see what your talking about.... i think my car has always sat like that. thanks for checking that out. I want sky max's color it was sweet with those wheels. man he must feel proud he gets tons of compliments. i rarely get anyone dropping there jaw for mine , well other than the locals.

 

I changed my color from the manufacturer pearl to a blue starfire pearl. I like the paint job a lot. Hope you know a good body man because if you go to a darker car dents that you never knew you had will start to appear.

 

Dennis, that red is already off the chains, bro!! I'd say keep it. Maybe throw some pearl in the mix for effect. Like maxmizd27 said, there aren't a lot of red Max's around.

Either that, or you COULD go with David's Chromalusion $4k+ paint job!!

 

Yeah really I say keep the red, but feel free to make it like Candy Apple or some other red.

Also, I think the rear looks just fine, at least the rear isn't *sagging*, which would look even stranger.

 

I just got my Max painted a few months ago. i went fromthe original charcole grey to a brilliant WRX Rally Blue... thanx to my good friends at subaru. To bad i can't get a 4wheel drive from them

But for you, i don't know man.... i mean, you got a nice color as is....
i went with the blue cause, well... it's just easier than trying to match things to charcole grey

 

I would say keep the red or go super black. I think those look the best

 

you got to remember that your engine bay and door jams are still gonna be red so I wouldnt go to far off,
when I got my gxe painted I changed it from stock white to lexus diamond pearl, It looks hot cause its not the pearl that is creamy and changes from light to dark, but it has tiny sparkle in the white paint and it looks good cause its not too much but its classy looking.
Like someone said just keep it red and add a pearl. btw $600 is a good price as long as you know your getting a good paint job, mine cost $2500 with a good connection. but it was well worth it.
