Engine bay pics needed
Need to see clean engine bays. I want to clean up my engine bay by eliminating crap that i dont need under the hood anymore. So i need to see what you guys got rid of and how much cleaner it looks.

AznRyan: i didnt mean what to use to clean the engine bay; i meant to ask what to take out/eliminate. Things that are useless under our hoods.
Chrome and Augustus: will take those items into consideration.

The more complicated and compact things are under the hood, the cooler it looks. So leave everything as is.
BTW: The engine bay isn't where useless things go. Try cleaning your trunk instead.

JB weld 5-6 layers of aluminum can cut outs, then fit a gasket to the back and add a bit of gasket maker behind it all and tighten it down. ACE hardware has the fittings for the exhaust manifold. I can't remember the sizes though.

Holy crap that is butchered!
What I did was take an extra cam end cap - good, thick, strong, and flat - use the EGR valve to mark my lines on the cam plate. Line up the bolt holes when you do this. I know one hole lines up, been a while so perhaps two of them do. Then take a grinder and cut along the line. Use a file or the grinder to smooth out angled cuts. Use a bit of black silicone gasket maker and two shorter bolts....the end. This is what I did on my turbo.
I can make some of these if anyone wants. Not NWP quality or anything, but clean and doesn't attract attention, just does its job eliminating the EGR.
Only other things I can think to remove is already mentioned - battery, cruise control, and stock airbox.

I can take pics of exactly what I did for the egr. My setup won't really attain to majority of you other 3rd gens since I am boosted. Since the pic I eliminated all the solenoids and extra lines that mount under intake.
now that Aaron has unofficially put an end to this thread...
my VE (no the paint on the fender isnt nicked and scratched, its just dirt and road crap from winter driving, as you can see the snow, its the only clear picture i have

Revival time

NA2T as soon as I can find the time.

Once upon a time this powered a 3rd gen.

Hmmm throw that in there! For no dang reason.
