Chromallusion Paint

Hey~ I was just wondering if any of you knew where I could get a chromallusion paint job done in michigan, how muhc it would cost (I'm sure I have enough though), and a number or webpage I could get it. Also, I was looking into doing a BMW headlight conversion, what should I take into consideration before doing it? And does the conversion start with the headlights off of an M3? Thanks for whoever can help me.

I can't tell you much about the paint other than it will look really sweet once it's done. It will be expensive though

for the BMWs, you will have a gap after you do it. They dont fit perfectly but if you spend some time doing it, you can get them to look pretty decent. All e36 BMW headlights are the same in the US. That means all M3, 318, 325, etc from 91-98 I think. (and I know dirksmoothie is gonna post his pic of the lights Czar did to show how well his fit . There are some nice jobs out there like that, but still not as tight as stock fit)

use the search function (link in top right corner) and you'll find TONS more info about the conversion

Look at the molding around the windows. It is black. Most SEs have black while most GXEs had chrome.

it seems like there are lots of colors available. with most prices ranging in the $300-650 a quart.

I really have no idea what volume of paint it would take to do a car......

I mean it was painted 3 different times. He got the first paint job with his new body kit. The second paint job was after his GF crashed the front end into a curb. The third paint job was after his car was clipped in the front by another car. He's had 3 different front bumpers on his car too. The paint color is the same though but a little darker than before.

Yes, you can get chromallusion in many different colors. Personally, the best I've seen is Red Fire (it changes from red to dark red to ruby red and has gold pearl).. really nice color IMO.

Heck, ask David! He's got a Cromallusion paint job. Maybe he can give you some further insight on it.

Paint

You only need to buy one color. The paint already comes mixed and ready to shoot once diluted. I bought five pints at $300 a piece. I spent about $1500 in basecoat, then I had to buy clear and chromapremier black because you have to paint the whole car black first. And then there were labor costs....

Ha! Even before I read Skymax's answer, I knew it was a 89-91 SE because of black window trim, black trunk panel (had to blow up pic to be sure) and the way the corners are designed (slightly diff.).

I rule! ....can't prove it... but I RULE!

After my SkyBlue 90 SE was totaled, I bought a Pearl White 90 SE 5-spd. I sold the Pearl White 90 SE in August and later bought a StarFire Blue 300ZX.
