My 94 vlsd VE auto was unfortunately rear ended by a jackass who rather pay attention to his phone instead of the road about 3 weeks ago. I was on 4 lane road in the left lane waiting for on coming traffic to clear with my signal on when he slammed into me. I did keep my car and I have full intentions of rebuilding her but it will take a lot of time and effort. I'm a little banged up myself but ok for the most part. I will post pictures as soon as I can. I just want to thank all of you .org members for all of the knowledge I've obtained from you guys over the years. You guys are great

 

That's unfortunate to hear but good to hear that you made it out with just some bumps/bruises. How bad is your Max(pics)? Is there any frame damage? When you get rear ended it can cost quite a bit to repair and sometimes cost more than a 17 year old car is worth. if it's just cosmetic then I'd repair/repaint while your putting in the work. Did this guy have good insurance? If so then maybe you'll come out ahead of the game with your minor injuries(bumps/bruises/cuts are worth money) and car repairs. If it's really bad then maybe you can find another 3rdgen or better yet a 5.5gen with a 6speed.

Did you go to the hospital to get checked up?? Pics of the damage?

 

Sorry to hear that man. I share the same sentiments & glad that you're ok.

I know that I've only owned my 3rd gen for 5 years now but it has grown on me so I'd be ready to lay someone out if that happened.

Definitely a trooper for hanging in there. Make sure you get any lingering ailments taken care of as that usually happens after an accident.

Glad to hear your alright even better that you plan to rebuild the car. I pray mine never meets this fate.

Damn that sucks. Someone wanted to take mine out as well.



Luckily, I was able to clean most of it and push some of the dent out, but it's still visible on the side trim.

 

I feel his pain
