poll:NEED HELP
I have an 89 crx that i love but it is not running.my mom is giving me her 93 max and i love the max but i know that there is not alot of aftermarket parts for the 3rd gen as far as i know.i am a newbie to the org.MY question is should i sell the crx,or should i swap it and keep it to put a turbo on?What do you guys think?I have a set of 18 inch tenzo rs-5 for the max,and i know you can do cai,y-pipe, exhaust suspension,but as i have researched there are no turbo kits for the max 3rd gen and it will turn into my daily driver.So as i said before should i keep the crx for a project car or let it go.I know some of yopu guys hate hondas,but i am a lover of all cars,even civics.The problem with the civic owners is they think there rides are hot sh#t becuase they are hondas.I know mine will not be the best but i just like fixing up cars.I give props to all you guys here on the org.You guys have some phat maxs.I hope to learn alot about my max from thepeople here.THANKX ALOT JCT

It depends on what you're looking to do with the car.
If you want to autocross or take it to a track, the CRX will be MUCH easier to build and modify and you'll be condiserably faster on an auto-X track than a Maxima will ever hope of being.
If you're just looking for something to cruise around in, it's up to you what to do. I would highly suggest keeping the max close to stock for your daily driver (I've got a ton of mods on mine, and I spend almost as much time working on it as I do driving it- though most fo the work is on new mods)..
But for an awesome project car, the CRX is it. throw some rims and springs and intake/exhaust on the Max and keep the CRX for your project car.

Pretty much what Matt said. It depends on what you want from the car. (And I'm onto you and your "new mods" Matt...
)
I don't know how you compare the two cars in your mind (I hope you've driven the Max), but the two cars are very very different. You'll sit higher up in the Max and won't feel so racey and close to the road. Also the Maxima is a much larger and heavier feeling car, and won't be as light on it's feet as the CRX. On the other hand, it IS much more comfortable and quieter.
If you mod the Max it can look verrrrry sweet indeed with the proper accessories (rims, bodykit, springs), and you'll have more of what I call a "cruiser" look to it similar to modded BMWs and such, rather than a "racer" look like the CRX can't help but have.
Like Matt said, if you just want a fun project car with lots of aftermarket support, go with the CRX. If you want more of a challenge and something more unique, the Max might be interesting. Just be sure you want the total image and driving change that will come with switching to the Maxima before you decide.
