Rear Disk to Drum Conversion

I need to know what I need to do to convert my rear drums to disk and if could possibly use PowerSlot Rotors in the back. If so need model numbers.

Thanks

yah it was a limited edition.. when i talked to the sales man at the dealer.. he told me its the only one in the whole world. its a special breed of the maxima that nissan made. the guys at the dealer told me GTR stood for GoT Rice.. what ever that means..

i got a pretty good deal on the car. considering its rare i should sell it on ebay or something and make some money

Doesn't it cost so much and require so much work to convert the rear brakes on a GXE that it's not worth it? I looked into this at one point, and decided I might as well sell the car for an SE that comes with rear disks. Well, some people are into custom conversions like that. I guess I'm not one of them. The easier, the better.

Hell no..
It cost me under $150 to do the conversion on my car.
all you need to do is go to a junkyard and steal the rear strut (and brake assembly) off any year SE, and grab the parking brake cable with it. some places will charge up to $300, but most places you can get it considerably less.

install time is about 2-3 hours, maybe more if you haven't done Maxima rear struts before.

benefits are great. I used to spend $50 every other month on new shoes for my drums because I'd glaze them over and they'd squeal like a schoolbus every time I stopped. after the rear disk conversion, I never had a problem with my rear brakes again.

Damn If only there was a junkyard around here with some maxima's in it. I'd have a field day.

Brake conversion is a little out of my mechanical skill range. I'd have to have a shop do it. Since my rear drums don't squeek that much anyway, I'd rather spend the money on a CAI and get my hood repainted.

Drums are the greatest. My brothers 12 second Chevelle has "All Wheel Drum Brakes". Sweet huh?

I think I'm gonna paint my drums. Problem is, drum brakes don't look very good with any open rims (5 spoke, etc...) that would usually expose the disks. But with the GXE rims, they look pretty nice when painted.
