Nope VG30E. Custom manifolds, made all piping downpipe plus all supporting mods like fuel system nistune etc.

Turboed 3rd gens are no unicorns. Third gens are great cars and very capable. Just got to have the money, learn/research, and just do it.

I had a TT '91 Maxima back in the day. I miss that car all the time, and what put me back in a 7th Gen.

I would like to see your engine bay setup as well.

Everyone knows the VE is king but that's why nobody messed with the VG which is perfect for boost. Opps, I let the cat out of the bag. I miss my VG max, especially after I installed the ws y-pipe and the keypad on the door.

I live in Nebraska so don't drive it much during winter took for drive other day. Before tear down. Converting to top feed injectors (currently maxed my 370cc 140% duty cycle and had run an fmu) and either gutted z31 plenum or 200sx if can locate one. My current intake is pretty restrictive way may charge piping is. Only 2" inlet to throttle body. I also found a boost leak which once fixed im reading 20psi. Link is to new video.
Really dirty engine bay pics. Ignore wiring mess this was when was wiring my z32 maf.

You might want to avoid posting videos of yourself breaking 100mph on the freeway considering your Youtube account is linked to your full name. Just sayin.

He admitted it in this thread. Not that law enforcement doesn't have more important problems to deal with, but where I live, 100mph costs you your car (impound), the cash to get it out, a suspended license, and a fine over $1,000. It's comparable to a DUI in Oregon.

Remind me not to move to Oregon. Anyway you're right, but we all do it every once in a great while.

Do not move to Oregon. It's rainy and there's a ton of great beer.

Oh wait, forget about the second part.

It frustrates me that the VG30e sounds better when it's in a Maxima than it does in a Z31 I guess it's the intake manifold design, cuz you're already running custom exhaust setup for the turbo. I always felt like the Z had a "splattier" sound than the Maxima... given that I have one of each. My maxima sounds happy as **** even tho it's stock slow.

btw am i seeing something wrong or does your wastegate have no boost ref line attached in those pics? You said "teardown" tho so maybe you were taking stuff apart already..

Anyways I have some spare Z31 plenums here and there if you want one to gut... might be cheaper to pick one up local tho. I'm assuming you have the equipment to weld aluminum...

So fixed some boost leaks on 22psi now. This vid is like half throttle compared to now. Scared crap out of me. Now I am like 99.9999% sure I have most powerful 3rd gen now. I start get traction in 4th kind of lol. Even my buddy was very impressed. Hes even rode in 600hp Honda. I do have all the stuff to go to top feed and z31 plenum. Once get the new plenum all ported.

Did you have to upgrade your tranny since supposedly its too weak to handle such power?

the only "weak" tranny is the VG automatic. The other 3 trans options are better able to handle power, though I'd still way M/T > A/T on any 3rd gen.

All in the tuning like any motor. When done properly handle it very well. look at all the z31 300zx there have been many people made mid 400son stock internals. I actually am still running my open diff vg trans. I was expecting to expload it by now. Still shifts like New and no signs of giving up soon. I beat living crap out of it. I do need get on it putting my vlsd trans in I have major torque steer witch is pretty sketchy.
