Air intake install questions
Air intake install questions
I have a 94 se and just bought a high flow racing intake kit on Ebay. The auction says 'All required hardware is included in the package for a easy bolt-on, no modification installation.' However, on another web site, it said that my car might have a extra hose (AIV system) connected to the original air box. The site says I might need an additional breather filter to filter the air into the open end after removing the air box and hose. Also, does my car have an ambient air temperature sensor attached to the original air box that must be relocated during installation of the new intake.
Just wondering what the situation with my car is, and what other people's experiences have been with this type of product. Oh, and does it really make the car sound better (ie louder)?
Thanks

You should be all set all your doing is poping a Cone style filter on the end of the stock stuff minus the box. But I sould probably mantion that all you had to do is pop your hood and see if the air box had the above mentioned hose. And the filter will mount before the sensor so your all set with that, and yes it will have the Potential to be "loud" depends on how you drive
