Tonight....going to the second bar....I got in my car and drove it all of 5 minutes. The was at normal temp but I'm sure the tranny was not. Anyway, I did a WOT run and man it took forever to get into 2nd. Then I parked it....went in for 1/2 hour....left alone and did the same thing. This time it was better. Finally the 3rd time it was perfect. Is this normal? Under 1/2 to 3/4 load its fine, but under WOT if its not fully warm it just takes a while. Any imput?

I still want Don to make a VG auto VB mod. I'll buy it for sure....lots of hiden power in that thing.

Completely normal.. don't worry about it, just drive easy on it when it's cold and you'll be fine.

when it does that, alll that energy from the engine is going straight into the clutches.. that's a really easy way to burn them up.

kind of normal...i would check the fluid level...sometimes a delay like that in shifting is caused by low fluid..

Correct me if I'm wrong>>>>

Don's VB mod is not a HP adding mod, it's a driveability mod. It only gives you a quicker and firmer shift between gears.

Exactly.....

Yea..kinda worded it funny. I guess I meant that I'm itching to get one cuz it should drop the 1/4 mile time by a good bit. Just like a underdrive pulley doesn't add any hp but it gets more to the ground.

1. what are you doing driving to bars?

What are you, my mother?........

Hehe....naw Fro....I was responsible. I was just having some fun in the parkway. My car pulls hard. I think I'm gonna go ahead and order the underdrive pulley. 189 and power from idle to redline. Kaleb said it feels like an honest 5-8hp. Not bad at all considering this affects the ENTIRE rev range...not just 5 top end hp. 5hp everywhere is much more significant.

I don't know guys.....

My piece of **** transmission actually feels better driving in the mourning sometimes, I give it 4+ minutes every mourning to warm up, don't drive at RPMs higher then 2 or so until after 5-10 minutes of driving.. but the tranny feels a little better when car is still cold, it shifts harder and slower but doesn't go up in RPMs as high as it does usually with that rate of acceleration.
For example:
When I step on it a bit, the freakin thing shifts at like 4k RPMs, when its colder, and i step on it the same way, it might hang around 2.5-3k RPMs a little bit longer, but it shifts consistently, slower and rougher though...

My transmission is just ****, don't compare our cars.

Yes, it's normal. I have switch to Mobil 1 ATF and it I have noticed some improvement at very cold temps - that is well below zero.

Anyone else running Mobil 1 ATF?
