I know this is redundant by now, but I have found a few different styles on ebay, I just want to get your guys opinions on what would fit or be easily modified to fit or at least where to get some good halo projectors around the same price....

You can make either style fit. The normal OEM ones are the typical/most common install.
The projectors will require you to cut into your radiator support. So it's really up to you on whether or not you're comfortable cutting up the radiator support.

ok i see what youre saying, I've been reading so much about these conversions and a lot of guys are claiming the stock OEM lights arent worth putting in because theyre not as bright. I dont want to drop 100 bucks on the stock ones if I can spend the extra to get the better lights and its not that much more work to put them in, you know what i mean?

I have the OEM e36 lights with HIDs, but stock they're a heckuva lot brighter than OEM Maxima lights.
Really, it's essentially the same amount of fabrication. Cutting your radiator support isn't "fabrication" per se, so I wouldn't take into account that "work" in your reasoning. Really it takes 2 minutes to cut your radiator support. Rather than the amount of work, I think you should focus on whether or not you want to make irreversible cuts into your radiator support.

so its about whether or not I feel its worth hacking away at other components on my car? I really dont have a problem with that, what I dont want is to buy something that I just wont be able to make look good on my car, like for example if the lights I buy are too large to fit in the housing that theres no way to force them in there and I am stuck with paperweights at the end.

The projectors ARE too big (deep), which is why you have to cut your radiator support. So if you're okay with that, then by all means go for the projectors. Whether or not either setup looks good comes down to your skill level. If you can make the OEM ones look good, there's no reason you couldn't make the projectors look good either, and vice versa. Not like you'd have the skills to make one look good but not the other as, like I said, the overall amount of "work" and skill is about equal other than one necessitating you cut the radiator support.
