What vacum hose is this?

I was working on changing my spark plugs the other day and I noticed that I had a vacum hose that was disconnected in two places. When looking at the engine bay the hose is just above the spark plug wires for the back left cylindar. Sorry I don't know what the cylindar number is. The hose runs to the back middle of the engine bay. Anyone know what this hose is for? I think it has something to do with the transmission because I noticed a little different behavior in the way it shifts. What's weird is that it was disconnected in two places. This tells me it could not have come apart on it's own. Like someoone disconnected it on purpose. Thanks for any help you can give.
