stuttering acceleration and hard shift to second
So my car is now stuttering a bit while moderately accelerating and hard shifts from first to second. I've read about similar problems with the acceleration but not the hard shift. It doesn't do it all the time. Usually only after driving for about 10 minutes. Otherwise neither issue is present. When it's acting like this it's also very sluggish to get going from a dead stop. I've even had the car completely stall twice. I've read it could be the MAF sensor or tps, but neither described the hard shifting. Was hoping that problem might narrow down which direction I should start off in.
Edit: cleaned maf sensor with maf sensor cleaner but did not help the problem. Also tried cleaning the egr with some throttle body cleaner. Took off the top vacuum line and sprayed some in. After letting everything dry out for about 10 minutes I test drove again. The power loss at low rpms was even more noticeable which I hope was just from the cleaner from the egr making the fuel mixture to the engine too rich.

Still having problems..completely removed egr valve and cleaned out carbon deposits. It actually wasn't too dirty. Checked the egr solenoid for proper vacuum. All that checked out ok. Hooked up my multimeter to the tps to check resistance. Got a low reading so I positioned it to read 1kohm at zero throttle. When rotating the throttle I noticed that my max reading was just below 7 instead of 9 and I got crazy numbers between 3 and 4 kohms (upwards of 40 and even done low decimal numbers). So I replaced the tps with a new one from duralast. Car was running great for about two days until today. This afternoon I had been driving around for about 10 mins. Gave the car about 3/4 full throttle from a stop and it took off like normal, but at the next dead stop all the old problems came right back. Parked and let the car rest for about an hour and repeated the circumstances. The car works fine until I give it some decent throttle and then at the next dead stop it just doesn't act right until I turn the car off and let it sit for a bit. I also ran the transmission self diagnostic twice and the first time it returned an error for throttle position sensor circuit. The second time I ran the rest everything came back clear. I can't find any info about this circuit and would appreciate any help..I really don't want to pay a mechanic an obscene amount of money to find one wire disconnected or something simple like that.

throttle position sensor maybe? worked on a vehicle a while ago that had similar symptoms and shifted hard 1st to 2nd, stuttered, and wanted to stall at a stop. replacing the TPS fixed it
