vg5 keeps blowing eng cont fuse....

I dont have an fsm or any wiring diagrams. Really dont feel like removing dash to diag. Any hints or known issues will be GREATLY appreciated. Even a wiring diagram so I know where to look would be great

Check your 02 sensor wiring isn't shorting out or touching the body (or anything else for that matter)

*edit- I'm referring to the actual wiring at the 02 sensor itself

Havent had an o2 in the car since I put my headers in.....obx junk. It weird cuz it wont pop the fuse right away. Sometimes its right when the ignition comes on and others it takes a couple minutes. Car will shudder and stall but catch itself and stay running. When the fuse pops

I will make sure that the wiring is free from any chassis parts and that none of those wires are grounding

If it happens while moving the shifter, your position switch is shorting out. Happened to me after driving 10k miles with a broken ISB. Even if yours isn't broken, you could have a decade or two of shavings and debris doing the same thing. Kind of a rare problem though, plenty other culprits as well of course considering there are 100 some odd wires to the ECU.

For me it was the O2 shorting. Course I had wrecked the car and something struck the exhaust at the sensor, damaging the wires. Would run for a long or short time, then POP goes the fuse. For a brief period I just carried a butt load of extra fuses and good fuse puller with the fuse cover off so I could make NASCAR pit style fuse changes on the road. I'm not recommending that BTW.

I can't immediately recall other circuits on the Eng Cont fuse, so if you don't find it with what's been suggesting, let me know and I'll retrace it.
