Bleeding cooling system

Bleeding cooling system

I need help bleeding my cooling system is there any air release valve anywhere that I can let the air come out

remove the rad cap, hold the engine at 2500rpm with the heater set to full hot. wait until the thermostat opens, the coolant level will drop, top it off and thats it

if for some reason thats not working, you can try jacking up the front end to get the air bubbles up faster. sometimes removing one of the heater core hoses until coolant comes out of it has worked for me too

not for a while, probably picking up a 81 Hilux 4x4 in a few days so that would make 2 project vehicles, and my Crown still needs a bit of work. at this rate all of my stuff will be fixed up by the year 2050 maybe

If you have the gxe there is an 8mm bleeder screw on the top right of the upper intake manifold. Take the bleeder screw out and slowly top up your coolant through the radiator when you have the car idling up to temperature until you see all the air bubbles are gone from the bleeder and it's running solid coolant then replace the bleeder screw.
