Need help with cleaning injectors

Need help with cleaning injectors

One of my injector are shot so when I'm changing that one injector I would like to know how and what do I use to clean the others injectors?

the typical run cleaner thru them routine either commercial brand or over the counter....I like to clean mine with a entire gas tank or half during a good highway trip

i did that but I wanna make it more clean when I take it out

you can send them out to be cleaned ultrasonically.

there's also a way to run cleaner directly from the fuel line into the injector. you pressurize the detergent and start the car with it. the car will "run" on the cleaner until you're empty. that usually gets them pretty good...but that's more equipment that you'll need to buy.

If you're gonna replace 1 injector, check the other 5 with an ohmmeter. They should be around 11-13 ohms. If any are >20, I'd replace those, too. The injectors on these cars were not designed to last 20 years. I've had 2 3rd gen GXE's and they both had bad injectors after 15 years. I made the mistake of not changing all when the first one went bad, so I subsequently had to do the job like, 3 times cuz I took the cheap way out. I've had good luck with the Beck-Arnley Autozone injectors (pink tops) <$90 ea.

you can send them out to get cleaned, but honestly if it was my car i would be replacing all 6 injectors

Listen too Chrome91 we've all gone that route and the money spent was better just investing in new injectors
