Not bad, I can appreciate the interior work. The only gripe I have is that you did that color change, it still looks pretty decent, but all the hidden parts are beige.
Just put on my 4th bumper cover today, finally found a nice OEM one with factory paint (not easy). Previous had decent paint, but it was brittle aftermarket junk. Hit a curb and it broke as if it was made of clay. Body panels finally look factory, for the first time in 9 years. But is actually made of up 5 different cars

Really like your enthusiasm man. Hope you stick with it. We're a dying breed. I couldn't read the gauge cluster - did that say 258k miles?
Nice find on the JY interior. Not a fan of two tone seats generally but those look to be in great shape. Can you tell if they're Katzkins or are they one-offs? Great job scoring some Koni's.
Turn your phone sideways when you record video next time

i echo what james said...commend you on your enthusiasm with your car.
who ported the intake manifold? what was done exactly? was it flow benched after it was done?
good luck with your turbo build. you better find a better work shop than your trunk if you're serious about going turbo....or if you rather pay someone to do the work.

Nice job on the maxima. Now that you've done the video, I recognize the car. I saw you once on I 4 but my exit came up before I could catchup with you. One of these days I hope to come rake a look at your car. I do all the work to mine as well but I still have a far way to go.

I bought it from a friend chris in plam bay Florida. Who had a se ( he had a youtude video where he max out the car on the highway) he yells out "maxima power" in the video lol. Became good friends and I bought his throttle body and intake manifold that was port match with the spacer by Aaron at nwp. As for the trunk I'm planning to empty it out this weekend.
As for the turbo all I have to figure out is what turbo I want ( probably a quick spool at low rpm) and what injectors I can use. I'm planning on tick welding a down pipe then taking it to a shop to finish the welding.

you want the car to strangle you every time you're trying to get out?

with innovation of dual bb turbos you can have quick spooling turbo at low RPM and have enough to keep boost going at high RPM. just need to figure out the A/R and what size housing you want to run. very important...read the turbo maps. that will tell you how it will run on your car. learn the math behind it.
do you have a mig welder? the whole bringing things to a shop after you did the mock up is very very time consuming (unless the shop is down the block from where you live).

if you're used to waiting for the seatbelt to retract before you step out then you'll be ok. every so often it gets stuck where the belt locking mechanism locks the belt and the belt only goes so much to retract and stops.
doesn't happen often but just need to be aware that it might happen. it caught me a few times. after a while it got me so many time i just went and bought new belts and that fixed it.

Was there on Saturday and only found two, an se which looks to have been forgotten in a field. The maximas are becoming hard to find in the jy these days. Should be heading back next wkend for a r134a system. My r12 has started to leak and freezing up when I run it. Time for the switch as r12 is now liquid gold.

It comes from the GXE digital pack. Which is more specifically molested, where the most interesting part of it goes to waste, that being the instrument cluster.
I have a kit or two available. Comes reconditioned by myself, with failure preventative repairs already made. I wouldn't consider it a "budget" addition, but I'll give you a fair price if you really want one.

$130 shipped. Considering the value of the kit itself, and the price I usually offer the refurb service for, it's a good deal. Keep in mind this is the org price, I know we all try to stay on a budget. Meanwhile 240 owners on the other hand pay up to $300 for the standard analog cluster with $5 display built into it, and HUD. It's not as unique as they imagine.
